The short version
Quick Trainer is anonymous-first. You can use everything without an account, and your progress is stored on your own device. We don't sell your data, and analytics is off until you say yes.
What we store
- Your progress, streak, and settings live in your browser (localStorage) by default — nothing leaves your device.
- If you create an account (optional), we store your email and that same progress data so it can sync across your devices. Sign in is handled by Google, GitHub, or a one-time email link.
- If you subscribe to Pro, payment is handled by our payment processor (LemonSqueezy) — we never see your card details.
Cookies & analytics
A sign-in session cookie is used only if you log in — it's strictly necessary for keeping you signed in, so it doesn't require consent. For product analytics we use PostHog to understand which features are used, but only with your consent — it stays off until you accept, and you can change your mind anytime below.
We also keep a basic, privacy-preserving count of how many people visit — no cookie and no consent needed, because it can't identify you or follow you around. Each day the server derives a one-way, rotating token from your IP address and browser type — your IP is used only to compute that token and is never stored. The token changes every day, so it can't be linked to you across days or to any other site. It only tells us aggregate daily totals (visits, unique visitors, and how many people started studying).
Your choices
- Use the app fully anonymously — no account needed.
- Turn analytics on or off anytime (above).
- Reset a set's progress from its page, or use Clear all data on this device on the account page to wipe local data.
- Export a full backup of your data, or import it on another device — from the account page, no account needed.
- Delete your account and all server data anytime with Delete account on the account page. Prefer email? Reach us and we'll handle it.
